RealGame training is based on experiential learning where groups of
participants manage virtual manufacturing
companies. In your company, you will make decisions on production,
sales, marketing, R&D, finance and logistics.
Together with your team mates you will be learning both through interaction with the simulation
model, as well as with each other.
The experiential nature and the intensity and motivational aspects of the training enhance
and strengthen the learning experience. The simulation game has been
developed by Timo Lainema in his doctoral studies in Turku School of
Economics, Finland. Until Autumn 2007, some 2.500 business managers and experts
have participated in the training.
The following pages
will quide you through the basics of RealGame. You will get an overall
view on how RealGame works, what decisions and action are to be taken in the
game and what learning aims we have. Rather than
being a simulation demo, the pages introduce you to RealGame logics
and content. We will go through the processes and
areas of decision making in closer detail when we meet.
